Greetings,
Reaching out to know about a risk assessment for the tritium containing emergency exit lamps. Tritium is a radioactive substance and is present is very small quantities and the signs have expiry dates which are coming up in November 2025.
I believe someone on this forum has experience dealing with them.

Tritium emits beta particles. They can't penetrate skin, so as long as you do not eat the lamps, you'll be fine.
I'm not sure what you could possibly put into a risk assessment relating to them, although I'll freely admit this is very much not my area.
As an aside, I've just discovered that eating four smoke detectors would give you a potentially lethal dose of americium.

We often think that when we have completed our study of one we know all about two, because 'two' is 'one and one.' We forget that we still have to make a study of 'and.'

The best move is to contact a licensed disposal service or whoever handles radioactive materials in your region. They’ll either pick them up or tell you how to package and return them safely. While you’re at it, it’s a good time to plan your replacements, LED or photoluminescent ones are easier going forward and don’t need special handling
